If you have experience studying Japanese at other schools/institutions, please see: New Students (non-beginners).

Starter Course Enrolment
For absolute beginners (those who have not studied Japanese before), we recommend starting from the Aki (first) Term of the Starter Course.
Enrolments take place prior to the start of each academic year.^ Enrolment for Aki (First) Term in the 2026/27 Academic Year Starter Course has now closed.
If you’d like to keep up to date with information regarding enrolment for the next Starter Course, please sign up to our mailing list below.
For students who wish to begin their Japanese language studies sooner, we have a list of Japanese language schools in Sydney and outside of New South Wales for your reference.
^If you are not an absolute beginner to the Japanese language and would like to be considered for mid-year enrolment, please submit an Enquiry and Self-Level Checker Form.
*Please see our terms and conditions for more course enrolment requirements.
