**Applications for JFY2024-2025 are now open**
(for projects that will conclude by March 15, 2025)
This grant aims to support projects conducted by non-profit organisations in the area of Japanese Arts and Cultural Exchange that will deepen understanding and relations between Japan and Australia. Suitable projects would include exhibitions, workshops, performances, and other events related to Japanese arts and culture. Successful candidates may be granted up to $5000 including GST, depending on the nature of the project.

Available on a rolling basis until the budget is exhausted. Application is by invitation only.
Application procedure
Please contact the Arts & Culture Department to discuss the eligibility of your project before making a formal application. Applicants will be required to fill in and submit a Project Proposal Form and a Budget Proposal Form (available below on this page). Application forms can be obtained from the Arts & Culture Department of The Japan Foundation, Sydney after the submission of the Project Proposal form and the Budget Proposal Form, and after these documents have been reviewed and approved.
