e-Stat is a portal site for Japanese Government Statistics, and aimed at delivering statistical information compiled by various Ministries and Government Agencies of Japan.

Although you can choose a menu language either in Japanese or English, the number of statistical data set available in English is far smaller than the one in Japanese. You can find such Japanese-only statistical data sets only through the Japanese menu.
