Learning Practices With Children Connected to Japan From The Spark Of “I have Something To Say!” To “I Wrote It!”
Let’s Talk about Designing Writing Activities that Help Children Find Their Words
「ことばにしたい!」「書けた!」が生まれる「書く」活動デザインについて、かんがえよう!
The event will be conducted in Japanese.
※本イベントは日本語で行われます。
In this workshop, we will explore the teaching practice, “Today’s Tokoton Tokoton,” a writing activity adapted and introduced by Nakamurashand. It is designed to spark children’s desire to put their thoughts into words and help them experience the joy of writing in Japanese.
In this practice, particular importance is placed on the feeling of “I have something to say!” as the first step toward writing. By thinking deeply and thoroughly tokoton about one thing, children can rediscover their interests in a relaxed and reassuring environment where they are free to write about anything. This gentle process helps nurture their motivation to write.
Together, we will consider how to create learning environments where children’s ideas can surface, take shape, and eventually grow into writing.
