One in a series of seminars introducing the Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture textbooks developed by The Japan Foundation.

Marugoto runs from starter (A1) through intermediate (B1), with 6 levels in total. Come and get a taste of how this series develops the practical Japanese communication skills of students while following the “Can-do Map.”

In this seminar, we will begin by focusing on one topic shared throughout the Marugoto series and look at how the “Can-do” Communication Goals level up accordingly, and then move to looking across the series as a whole to understand the learning features and philosophy. After that, we will shift the focus to the Starter and Elementary levels, explaining their learning processes and class tips in detail.

Come and see how Marugoto helps encourage Japanese language communication in students by sparking students’ awareness and focusing on audio input.

＊We plan on continuing our Marugoto event series with a Teacher’s Lab in November of 2021.

*Priority given to teachers in Australia, but open to participants from around the world.
*Previous experience using Marugoto is not required.
*Particularly recommended for teachers in adult education.
