Kiki Ando Event Series

Updated Conditions of Entry from July 28

Due to Covid-19 restrictions announced by the NSW Government, the Kiki Ando: Highest Mountain and Deepest Bay exhibition dates have changed. New dates are TBC and will be announced at a later date. A number of the related events below have also been cancelled. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

July 9 – September 25, 2021

Coinciding with the Kiki Ando: Highest Mountain and Deepest Bay exhibition, The Japan Foundation, Sydney presents an event series that celebrates Ando’s artistic vision and influences through a workshop for kids, film screenings, and a talk event celebrating the online catalogue launch.

Enjoy a film series specially curated by Ando herself featuring three films that have greatly influenced her artistic practice and learn more about the concepts behind her work in the exhibition with the catalogue launch talk event featuring textile researcher Dr Bigolin. Finally, kids can learn how to transform repurposed materials such as old newspapers into fun costumes in a workshop run by Ando herself.
